South African celebrity chef Lentswe Bhengu-Mafoko’s life will be honoured with three memorial and funeral services this week.
Chef Lenstwe died at Sandton Medi-Clinic on Tuesday, 28 February, after suffering a short illness, his family confirmed in a statement.
The first memorial will be held Monday at Every Nation Church in Rosebank, Johannesburg, from 13:00.

Two services will be held in Durban on Tuesday. The first will take place at Durban High School at 16:00 ad will be hosted by the DHS Old Boys club.
A second service will take place at 17:00 at The Playhouse Company and will be hosted by friends and industry colleagues.
Members of the public are invited to attend any of the services, and all of them will be live-streamed for those who cannot attend.
Chef Lentswe will then be laid to rest after a funeral service on Wednesday, taking place at Amanzimtoti Civic Centre at 10:30.
Furthermore, the Bhengu and Mafoko family disclosed banking details in a media statement on social media after “an overwhelming show of generosity and numerous requests for contributions”.

Chef Lentswe spent five years in the investment finance industry before he enrolled at the prestigious Culinary Academy in the Cape Winelands in 2010.
He then embarked on building a successful career in the food and entertainment industry.
