Youth Congress workers staged a protest against BJP MP Tejasvi Surya in Bengaluru after the latter said that the UPA government in 2008 had waived off the farmers loans providing temporary relief to farmers. However, the BJP did not go for populist budget, but instead allocated Rs 10 lakh crore for infrastructure development, which will have a multiplier effect in the country, he said.On the difference between Congress economics and BJP economics, he said that the BJP in spite of going for Lok Sabha election in 2024 did not go for populist budget, and instead allocated Rs 10 lakh crore for infrastructure development which will have a multiplier effect in the country.
