A car has been taken off the road by police after reports it was being used in 'suspicious circumstances'. The battered Vauxhall was loaded on the back of a lorry and taken away from Bradley Street in Wotton-under-Edge.
In sharing a picture of the car, Stroud Police commented on the 'absolute state of it'. Officers said there was no hesitation in seizing it as there was also a lack of insurance.
In a tweet, police said: "This Vauxhall was reported as being used in suspicious circumstances. When PC Robinson found it in Bradley Street, Wotton, the lack of insurance, along with the absolute state of it, meant she didn't hesitate in seizing it.
