You may think celebrities live exclusively on Erewhon smoothies and Sakara meal kits, but that’s actually not the case. (Well, at least not for all of them.) In fact, many stars have gone viral with their own recipes for salad dressing, pasta, cookies and everything in between. For our YouTube series Celeb Bites, we tested some of the most talked-about celebrity dishes to find out which are actually worth the hype.
The 10 Best Reese Witherspoon Recipes, from Watermelon Margaritas to Fried Chicken
A source close to the Princess of Wales told a U.K. newspaper that she eats this refreshing, no-cook salad on the reg when the weather’s warm. It stars a mélange of produce, three-ingredient dressing and feta cheese for good measure.
If swicy foods are your jam, you’ll adore this simple spin on bacon, which gets its sweetness from brown sugar and its kick courtesy of red pepper flakes. The rapper’s four-ingredient recipe went viral after being released in his 2018 cookbook, From Crook to Cook: Platinum Recipes from Tha Boss Dogg’s Kitchen.
If you’ve never doctored up a packet of instant ramen with your own mix-ins, you’re in for a treat. Diaz is a fan of fresh veggies (shiitakes! broccoli! carrot!), chile crisp, ginger and fresh lime.
The singer posted this recipe on her Tumblr in 2015 and it became an instant holiday hit. We’re not surprised, since they’re slathered in simple eggnog-kissed icing.
Listen, we love the concept of Rih’s no-cook garbanzo salad, which originally ran in Esquire back in 2014. But TBH, we’d zhuzh it up with a few spices and a tastier dressing next time.
We love how flexible this pasta dish is. “[Markle] doesn’t have specific measurements for anything—she just kind of eyes it and puts it in,” Celeb Bites host Juliette Moreno says. “So, if you like more onion or if you like more rosemary or if you like more garlic, you can add to your flavor.”
Get in, we’re going to Elle Woods’s house for happy hour. Once you chop the watermelon (or better yet, buy it pre-chopped at the grocery store), most of your work is done.
The recipe dates back to 1960, when Her Majesty shared the recipe with President Eisenhower. Personally, we don’t buy that the Queen prepared her own food, but we’ll suspend our disbelief for this royally tasty treat.
OK, we find it even harder to believe that Kris Jenner bakes, and we’ll extend that skepticism to the entire Kardashian family. (Have you seen Kendall chop a cucumber?) Nevertheless, we were pleasantly surprised by this chocolatey number.
What’s tastier than lunch with a side of drama? The answer is nothing. When we heard Wilde’s ex-husband, Jason Sudeikis, reportedly laid down under a car to keep her from delivering her dressed salad to her new beau, Harry Styles, we *had* to try it for ourselves.
Another masterpiece pulled from From Crook to Cook, this sammy is as simple as it is comforting. (C’mon, it’s topped with barbecue potato chips.)
The Strawberry Skin Glaze Smoothie went bonkers on TikTok the moment it hit Erewhon stores. Even if you nix the harder-to-find ingredients (like hyaluronic acid, collagen and sea moss), the DIY version is still pretty tasty.
The most painless way to make boxed mac tastier? Add more cheese—duh. We can totally get behind Lively’s tweaks, which include cream cheese and sharp cheddar.
The model’s viral handheld may sound super fussy, but a lot of the components are pantry staples. (Think salt, pepper, dried basil, mayo and mustard.) So, don’t let the long list of ingredients deter you.
Another home run, courtesy of the Duchess of Sussex. It’ll give you all the warm-and-fuzzy feelings at first sip, since it basically tastes like a whiskey-infused snickerdoodle.
