Tyga appears to have a new woman in his life, and it’s none other than Avril Lavigne. Considering the “Complicated” singer only recently broke off her engagement to Mod Sun, the news of their romance came as a surprise to fans. An insider told Us Weekly that Tyga and Lavigne were “friends for years” before their relationship turned romantic. “Since they had already built a foundation of friendship, it was an organic transition to something more,” the source said.
Another insider told the publication the pair were just as surprised as fans to find out they had a connection. “Avril and Tyga never imagined a romance would happen and this was totally unexpected,” they said. “They have no idea where things are going but they’re enjoying spending time together. They have great chemistry.”
Tyga’s latest relationship has everybody talking, but this isn’t his first one to have caused a stir online. From 2014 to 2017, the rapper’s relationship with Kylie Jenner raised eyebrows due to their eight-year age difference. In 2019, fans were also surprised to learn Tyga and influencer Jordan Craig (who is the mother of Tristan Thompson’s son Prince) were once married. Oh, and he also had a relationship with Blac Chyna, whom he shares 10-year-old son King with.
