Irving residents can secure tickets for the Invited Celebrity Classic golf tournament April 21-23 at the Las Colinas Country Club, 4400 N O'Connor Road, presented by Choctaw Casino and Resorts.
Forty celebrity golfers will compete alongside professional players for the officially sanctioned PGA TOUR Champions and Charles Schwab Cup event.
“Irving is a world-class destination, and I’m excited the city will have the opportunity to showcase all we have to offer,” said Mayor Rick Stopfer.
Confirmed celebrity players include actor Larry the Cable Guy, former Dallas Cowboys MVP Emmitt Smith, and former NFL players Tim Brown, Brian Urlacher and DeMarcus Ware.
The tournament features a professional prize purse of $2 million, among the largest professional purses outside the major championships, as well as a $500,000 celebrity prize purse. The Golf Channel will cover the event, putting Irving in the national spotlight.
